Welcome to World Birds Unlimited in Mesa. Our store hours are 9-5pm Monday thru Saturday, and closed on Sunday.

WBU Mesa has a podcast known as the Feathered Desert.  We cover topics relevant  to those of us who live in this southwestern desert.  Find us on Pod Bean at wbumesaaz.podbean.com.

This month join us for a Hummingbird Chat.  We will be talking about the hummingbirds that are residents and visitors to our gardens here in Phoenix. We will cover behaviors, tips on identification, feeders, location, and what is the best nectar to put in your feeders.  Free gift and refreshments will be offered.  Limited seating RSVP 480-507-2473.

Remember water is just as important as a seed feeder any time of year.  Keep hummingbird feeders clean and filled.

Seeing lots of feathers on the ground?  Well, this time of year birds are finishing up raising their babies, and taking some me time to molt old feathers and grow replacements.  Youngsters born this year are molting their baby feathers and growing their more adult feathers.  It's magic how our backyard birds in such a short time can replace, replenish, or refresh their feathers.

https://abcbirds.org/program/cats-indoors/  This link is to provide information about cats and birds.  The American Bird Conservancy has provided this link.  This month WBU would like to highlight the damage outdoor cats do to local bird populations.  We love our pet cats.  So, let's keep them indoors.
